Leah L. Babaran, LPC, ATR-P
Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio and Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P) from the Art Therapy Credentials Board. Leah is a trained Brainspotting Practitioner as of 2026 in Phase 1 and soon-to-be Phase 2.She started her clinical work as a Mental Health Associate at the San Marcos Treatment Center: a residential treatment facility in San Marcos, Texas, working with youth in foster care and CPS system and juvenile detention, dealing with issues related to behavioral and psychosocial rehabilitation. She currently serves as the group facilitator for Helping Each other After Loss (H.E.A.L.) Grief Group: an ADHAMS Board of Cuyahoga County-funded group provided via our colleagues at Colors+ Counseling on the East-side of Cleveland for BIPOC and other marginalized communities and minority groups, supporting individuals in navigating grief within cultural contexts through community and creativity.Leah studied Sociology, with a concentration in Health, and Studio Art in Undergraduate at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, graduating with her B.A. in Sociology and Minor in Studio Art in 2019.Leah graduated from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio with her M.A. in Counseling and Art Therapy in 2023, completing her thesis on Exploring the Somaticism of Intergenerational Trauma in Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Folx and the Benefits of Art-based Intervention.
